Happy New Year! :)

I've enjoyed a nice little break these past few weeks with my family. But I've missed my work, and I'm looking forward to getting back into it full swing, starting this weekend!! I cannot tell you all enough how much I appreciate your business throughout the year. 2009 has been the busiest, most successful year yet in my career, and I'm forever grateful! :) I'm excited about what 2010 will bring to Mari Wilkes Photography, and I've got a few surprises up my sleeve for all my blog readers and clients. Be on the lookout for monthly specials for all types of portrait sessions as well as weddings. I'm also planning on hosting some blog contests in the near future to encourage blog reading and comments. Lots of new ideas!! And I'm looking forward to meeting even more new clients and enjoying any time I have with my repeat clients. Here's to a New Year and lots of new memories for you and your families! :)

Awaiting Baby Wiley......

LOVE these two! And I cannot wait to meet little baby Wilo! :) They do not know the sex of the baby yet, which makes me even more excited that it's going to be a surprise. Amy has been a fan of my work for a while now, so I'm so glad that I finally had the chance to actually photograph her and her hubby. They are so cute together, and I know they will make great parents. Her baby bump is super cute - she looks amazing! Enjoy the preview, guys! And I'll see you next month when the baby arrives! :)

TREVOR IS ONE!!!

Anytime one of my baby clients turns 1, it's always bittersweet for me. Especially when I've been seeing them since they were able to peacefully sleep throughout the entire session! Now, as they turn 1, they can't sit still!! I just love it! It's always so fun to watch the little ones grow up. It's also a good way for me to see how I've grown as a photographer in the past year. I've been seeing little Trevor since he was 3, almost 4, months old. He's been walking for a while now, and he doesn't sit still for very long. He hates my hats, and he hates it when I get so excited and start squealing because he finally smiles at me! ;) But I love him millions!! He's so cute, and I can't believe how big he's grown in just so little time. Mom and Dad, I am so honored to have been your baby's photographer throughout his first year. I have thouroughly enjoyed him, and I will miss seeing him every few months. I do hope to see him again in 6 months when he's 18 months old - I can't wait! Enjoy the preview! Thanks for sharing your sweet boy with me this year. :)

Awesome Family!

I loved photographing these guys!! What a gorgeous family! And they have their hands full with this cute little ball of energy. He is on the go, all the time....until he's sleepy. Then all he wants is his mommy. But I sure enjoyed him! This is a beautiful, fun, happy family, and I'm privileged to be able to photograph them. And have I mentioned before how much I just LOVE shooting in wheat grass this time of year!? In case you haven't noticed! ;) Enjoy the preview! :)

The Sweet Senn Kiddos

I just love meeting the cute kids of some old friends! That is one of the best things about my job. These cutie pies belong to one of my husband's childhood friends. Although I didn't get to see him (even though he should have come along for the photo shoot since it's been sooooo long since I've seen him!), I really enjoyed meeting his sweet wife and his cute kids. I don't think there is one bad picture in the whole session!! :) I hope you guys enjoy the preview as much as I enjoyed meeting your sweet babies!! I hope to see you again very soon!

The Bell Twins at Christmastime :)

I just love these 2 girls! They are getting so big!! I last saw them for their first birthdays back in the summer, and they weren't even walking yet. Now, they don't sit still!!!!! :) That's when it gets fun! I had a blast with these cutie pies once again. Enjoy the preview and have a warm, fun-filled holiday season!! :) P.S. Mom owns a cute little boutique here in Tullahoma, with a new children's shop inside. That's why these outfits are so cute!! Of course, I had to go get my Aby Grace a reindeer outfit after the session! ;)
